Inetina Watson Ebitonmor is a senior global markets, corporate treasury, and financial risk advisory leader with over 20 years of experience in corporate and investment banking, built across Standard Chartered Bank and Stanbic IBTC / Standard Bank Group. Her career has been centred on advising CFOs, group treasurers, treasurers, and C-suite executives of global multinationals and large corporates on the origination, structuring, and execution of FX, interest rate, and derivative solutions – including select commodity derivatives, across Africa, the UK, and wider EMEA.
She has operated at the intersection of market execution and corporate decision-making in environments defined by volatility, regulatory complexity, and cross-border exposure. Her advisory experience spans balance sheet risk management, hedging strategy design, and financial markets structuring across multi-jurisdictional corporate operations, with a consistent focus on protecting enterprise value under uncertain market conditions.
Following her role as Director, Financial Markets Sales and Client Coverage at Standard Chartered Bank – partnering with global multinationals and large corporates across Nigeria, Africa, the UK, and EMEA on FX, rates, and derivative solutions – she completed an MBA with the Dean’s Award from the University of Kent, UK, in November 2023.
That foundation, combining nearly two decades of origination, structuring, and execution experience with rigorous academic discipline, led to the conception of IWE Advisory in 2024, the launch of Lessons from the Markets and the formal registration of IWE Advisory in the UK in 2026 – delivering practitioner-grade financial risk intelligence and treasury advisory directly to corporate clients, independent of banking product mandates.
Lessons from the Markets – the catalyst for IWE Advisory – is a bi-weekly financial markets intelligence publication read by CFOs, group treasurers, and senior finance leaders across global institutions.
She is a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, Women in Financial Markets (WIFM) UK, Chartered Management Institute (CMI) UK, ACI – The Financial Markets Association, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Women in Management, Business & Public Service (WIMBIZ), Financial Markets Dealers Association (FMDA).
Her work is grounded in the dynamics of financial markets mechanics, governance under pressure, and behavioural decision-making in high-stakes environments, where treasury and risk decisions directly influence balance sheet resilience and long-term corporate stability.
